Donations are taken at the shelter Monday-Friday from 8:30-5:00 p.m. No donations are taken over the weekend. Tax letters will be provided for donated items. Arrangements can be made to have household items such as furniture picked up. All donations are given to SAFE Shelter clients, never sold. Many donations go to the families in the Shelter’s Follow-up/Aftercare Program. Often, these families leaving the shelter have very little, if anything, to help them set up housekeeping.
Items needed include:
- Paper products (paper towels, toilet paper)
- Diapers, wipes
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Pots, pans, cooking utensils
- Gently used infant/children’s clothes
- School uniforms
- Clear or mesh back packs, school supplies
